Jerry and I decided to take a ride down to the first of the new monthly bike meets at David Silver Spares in Leiston (the last Saturday of the month from March thru’ to September).

We met up at Maccy D’s at Thickthorn just outside Norwich and rode down through Brooke and Hedenham on the B1332 to Grumpy’s café at Earsham; there we were joined by Jannette and Paul on their ‘Blades.

Janette then led us by an interesting route through Beccles down to Blythburgh, then down the coastal B1125 and B1122 to Leiston.
For anyone that didn’t already know, David Silver Spares also houses David’ Honda collection – kind of a museum of 150 or so interesting bikes from from 1948 – 1992.

David seems to specialise in the 400/4s but all kinds of Hondas are represented, including a few I had no idea existed – like this 3-cylinder 90-degree v-3 two-stroke!

The weather was kind to us and it was really pleasant little run. If you’ve never been, have a look at the David Silver collection website and maybe we’ll see you there one fine day!
