We are having a NorHOC quarterly meeting to start at 9am at CJ Ball’s dealership premises on Salhouse Road, Norwich – Agenda to be made available soon.
This will be followed by another rideout where Chris will have a dozen Demo bikes available for those who want to try the latest bike tech, or maybe just something a bit different from what we’d normally ride. Chris is providing some instructors to lead and organise things – thanks for arranging this, JJ!
Note – you don’t have to ride the demo bikes. You are welcome to ride out on this ride on your bike if you’d rather!
The following is Chris of CJ Ball’s plan:
We can have 4 groups of bikes, each with a leader from C J Ball. The route is just over and hour out and then an hour ride back.
However, we will plan to stop twice on the way out and twice on the way back. This will allow trying 6 different bikes. The changeovers and midway stops are bound to add at least an hour to the ride, so about 3 hours in all. However, I haven’t planned a refreshment/loo stop yet, but we are testing the ride next week and intend to add that in, so that may add some extra time too.
The groups are as follows. I would expect the C J Ball and lead rider to stay in the group but for HOC members to swop between the groups at any stop.

NT1100 Manual The lead riders will be using Transalps, NC750DCT and Africa Twin manual so these may be available subject to rider demand. Due to the shortage of very low bikes to use, if we have riders who are struggling with seat height it may be better for them to ride their own bikes if they still want to take part. We need everyone to be comfortable with swapping bikes for this to work well.
