Next up – Ride-out to the Shuttleworth Collection 2024!

Planned for Sunday 9th June, setting-off from the BP garage at Scole at at 10 a.m.

Nigel will lead on a cross-country route via Bury St Edmunds, then the A143 to Haverhill, followed by ‘B’ class roads through Steeple Bumpstead and Radwinter and then to Saffron Walden and Duxford. There will be a refreshment break at the MacDonalds in Duxford before continuing to Biggleswade and the Old Warden Aerodrome. 

Admission to the Shuttleworth site is free including the Café and shop.  However, the admission price to the Shuttleworth Collection itself is currently £15.50 reduced to £14.00 for those over 60. You can choose to pay to go into the Collection, or just enjoy the ride there and back and have a beverage in the café and terrace in fascinating surroundings.

Nigel says that the trip will not be weather dependant.

“Sunday 9th June 2024 – Visit to The Shuttleworth Collection, Old Warden Aerodrome, Biggleswade (SG18 9DT).  10.00 am departure from the BP garage at Scole (IP21 4AJ) .   The route will be a scenic one via Bury St Edmunds, the A143 to Haverhill, followed by ‘B’ class roads through Steeple Bumpstead and Radwinter and then to Saffron Walden and Duxford.  There will be a refreshment stop at McDonalds, Duxford (CB22 3HD) before continuing to Biggleswade and the Old Warden Aerodrome.  Admission to the Shuttleworth site is free including the Café and shop.  However, the admission price to the Shuttleworth Collection itself is currently £15.50 reduced to £14.00 for those over 60.
